Clarity™ is a versatile water clarifier designed for both freshwater and marine aquariums. Using a specially formulated polymeric flocculant, it binds tiny particles that cause cloudiness, making it easier to remove them through mechanical filtration. Safe for reefs, plants, and all aquatic life, Clarity™ simplifies water clarification by addressing all types of cloudiness in a single, easy-to-use product.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Clears all types of cloudiness in freshwater, saltwater, and reef tanks
  • Reef and plant safe formula for sensitive aquatic environments
  • Combines flocculating and precipitating agents in one bottle
  • Transforms invisible fine particles into clumps that can be filtered out
  • Rapid results — most cloudiness clears within 1 to 2 hours
  • Compatible with standard mechanical filtration setups

The Science

When you add Clarity™ to your aquarium, you will notice the water developing a cloudy haze shortly after dosing. This is completely normal and is actually a sign that the product is working. Your water contains vast numbers of microscopic particles — fine debris, dissolved organics, and suspended matter — that are too small to be caught by filter media or even seen with the naked eye. Clarity™ causes these particles to bind together through a process called flocculation, gradually forming larger and larger clumps.

As those clumps grow in size, they become visible, which is what causes the temporary increase in cloudiness you may observe after dosing. Once the particles have aggregated into pieces large enough to be captured by mechanical filtration, your filter floss or cartridge does the rest, physically removing the residue from the water. The result is noticeably clearer water within 1 to 2 hours in most situations. For Clarity™ to work effectively, your aquarium must have a filter with mechanical filtration media such as filter floss running throughout the process.

Advice

Dose 1 capful (5 mL) per 80 L directly into the aquarium. Make sure your mechanical filtration is running before and during treatment. The water may appear temporarily cloudier immediately after dosing, this is normal and means Clarity™ is actively working. Once the tank has cleared, clean or replace your filter floss or cartridge to remove the clumped residue. If cloudiness is caused by a chemical imbalance rather than suspended particles, address the underlying water quality issue alongside treatment for best results. Heads-up

Clarity™ requires mechanical filtration to complete the clarification process — it clumps particles together, but your filter is what physically removes them from the water. Without filter floss or a cartridge in place, cleared particles may simply break apart and return to suspension. If cloudiness persists after 2 hours, check that your filter is running properly and that the media has not become clogged with the flocculated residue.
