The Products

Prime®

Prime® is Seachem’s flagship water conditioner and an essential first step when preparing tap water for any aquarium. It removes chlorine and chloramine instantly and detoxifies ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate by converting them into a safe, non-toxic form that the biofilter can still process and remove. Prime® is suitable for use during tank cycling, making it valuable from day one of a new setup and throughout the life of the aquarium.

Stability®

Stability® rapidly establishes the biological filter in both freshwater and marine aquariums, addressing the number one cause of fish loss in new tanks: new tank syndrome. It contains a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria that work together to break down ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and waste organics. Stability® can be dosed from the first day of setup, allowing fish to be introduced with confidence while the biofilter establishes itself.

Pristine™

Pristine™ uses bio-augmentation — a natural, non-chemical approach — to improve water quality by introducing beneficial bacteria that break down excess food, waste, and detritus. It also reduces the excess nutrients that fuel nuisance algae and disease-causing organisms, improving water clarity and promoting a healthier overall aquatic environment. Pristine™ is suitable for ongoing use in both freshwater and marine systems as part of a regular maintenance routine.

Advice

Use Prime® with every water change to make tap water safe before it enters the aquarium. Dose Stability® daily for the first seven days of a new setup and with each water change or when adding new fish thereafter. Pristine™ can be used on an ongoing basis to manage organic waste and maintain water clarity. Used together, these three products cover the most critical aspects of water quality management from the moment your tank is first filled.
