The Science
Pristine™ works by introducing beneficial bacteria that efficiently digest organic waste, including fats and detritus that can form surface films. These bacteria produce biopolymers that trap suspended particles, improving water clarity. Unlike traditional nitrifying bacteria, the Pristine™ strains remain active in low-oxygen or challenging conditions, continuously reducing harmful nutrients and maintaining a healthy ecosystem. Regular use helps stabilize biological filtration and supports the overall health of your aquarium.
Advice
Shake well before use and turn off UV sterilizers or ozone during dosing. Apply the initial dose, then switch to the maintenance dose after biofilter establishment or after tank cleaning or medication. Ensure antibiotics are removed with activated carbon and a water change before adding bacteria.
⚠️ Heads-up
If nutrient levels remain high despite treatment, check for overstocking, overfeeding, or insufficient filtration. Allow 2–3 days for bacteria to establish before reintroducing UV sterilizers or ozone.
