Aqua One Vac-A-Tank Gravel Cleaner – Aquarium Siphon Vacuum for Easy Water Changes

Effortlessly remove waste, debris, and uneaten food from aquarium gravel while performing routine water changes

The Aqua One Vac-A-Tank Gravel Cleaner is a must-have aquarium maintenance tool for freshwater and tropical fish keepers. Featuring a quick self-starting siphon and slim profile design, it makes light work of gravel vacuuming and partial water changes. Simply plunge the tube into the substrate during your water change and let the natural siphon action draw out waste, leftover food, and harmful debris — leaving your tank cleaner and your fish healthier. Available in four sizes to suit tanks of all shapes and sizes.

Key Benefits:

  • Self-Starting Siphon: Quick and easy to get flowing — no sucking required, just plunge and go.
  • Deep Gravel Cleaning: Lifts waste, uneaten food, and decaying matter from between gravel particles where it can spike ammonia and nitrite levels.
  • Slim Profile Design: Fits into tight corners and hard-to-reach areas of the aquarium with ease.
  • Gentle Low-Flow Action: Suitable for all gravel sizes without disturbing fish, plants, or aquarium décor.
  • Simplifies Water Changes: Combines gravel cleaning and partial water changes into a single, efficient step.
  • Improves Fish Health: Removing built-up waste reduces harmful toxins and supports a cleaner, healthier aquatic environment.

Available Sizes:

  • 25cm – Ideal for small to medium aquariums.
  • 40cm – Great for medium tanks and deeper substrate beds.
  • 60cm – Suited for large aquariums and tall tanks.
  • Extendable 23–40cm (Deluxe) – Adjustable length for maximum versatility across different tank sizes and depths.

How to Use:

  • Set Up: Attach the siphon hose and place the waste end into a bucket below the tank water level.
  • Start the Siphon: Plunge the gravel tube into the substrate to activate the self-starting siphon action.
  • Vacuum the Gravel: Move the tube slowly across the gravel bed, allowing waste to be drawn up and out.
  • Water Change: Continue until you’ve removed your desired amount of water (typically 20–30%).
  • Repeat Weekly: Regular weekly or fortnightly use keeps waste levels down and water quality high.

Important Notes:

  • Suitable for use in freshwater and tropical aquariums.
  • Not recommended for very fine sand substrates — best used with gravel or coarse media.
  • Always dechlorinate replacement water before adding it back to the aquarium.
  • The extendable 23–40cm model is ideal if you keep multiple tank sizes or plan to upgrade in the future.

Use during your regular partial water changes to vacuum waste from the gravel bed — a quick weekly clean makes a big difference to water quality and fish health.
