Ziss Egg Tumbler – Air-Driven Egg Incubator for Fish Breeding

Eggs left sitting still on the bottom of a breeding tank are far more prone to fungus, and losing a clutch to it is one of the most common setbacks in breeding fish at home.

The Ziss Egg Tumbler keeps eggs constantly and gently moving in a suspended water column, mimicking the way parent fish would fan and turn eggs in the wild. That constant motion stops eggs from settling and developing fungus, and Ziss reports an average hatch rate of around 97% across its tumbler range. Each unit mounts to the aquarium glass with suction cups and runs off an external air source, using a Ziss air regulator, air hose and disassemblable Ziss air stone that’s easy to pull apart and clean rather than replace. An air pump isn’t included, so if you need one, you’ll find our range of aquarium air pumps online or in store, along with spare airline tubing if you need to extend or replace your setup. Once eggs hatch, fry need feeding almost immediately, so it’s worth having Hikari First Bites on hand as their first food.
