Aqua One Quick Drop Senior pH Test Kit – Complete pH Testing & Correction Kit

pH swings are easy to miss day to day, but water sitting outside a fish’s natural range for too long leads to ongoing stress, weakened immunity and, in severe cases, illness or death.

The Senior pH Test Kit measures how acidic or alkaline your water is on the standard 0-14 scale, where 7 is neutral, below 7 is acidic and above 7 is alkaline, and comes as a complete set with pH Up and pH Down powder included so you can correct any imbalance as soon as you find it. Most tap water sits close to neutral, but different species have different needs, tropical fish generally do best slightly acidic around 6.5, while koi and goldfish prefer neutral to slightly alkaline water between 7.0 and 8.0. Because pH can shift over time from rain, water changes or decaying organic matter, regular testing lets you catch changes early and correct them before they affect your fish. If a reading comes back outside your ideal range, adjust it gradually over a few days using the included powders rather than all at once, sudden swings are more stressful on fish than the imbalance itself. If you just need to test without the correction powders, our standard Aqua One pH Test Kit covers testing alone.
