Solar Pond Pump with Battery 760L/hr

This solar-powered pump can be used as a fountain or simply for underwater circulation and comes fully included with a backup battery for continued operation even on overcast days or into the evening.

760L/hr.

Comes complete with solar water pump, solar panel, battery and different fountain heads.

What makes our solar pond pumps different from our competitors, is that they come with a battery backup! Super important, because without this, any partial shadow from clouds, trees, or even walking past, will switch the solar water pumps off! On cloudy days, solar pumps without a battery backup simply will not work at all. Many of our customers with fish like the added security of knowing that if there is a power blackout, their solar pump with the battery will continue to oxygenate the water all day and well into the night.  Crucial on hot summer days especially…

Dry-Run Safety Protection so your pump will not burn itself out if it ever runs dry. This dry run protection function is provided by two sensor points on one side of the pump housing, the pump will only work if both sensor points are submerged, if one or both are not submerged the pump will turn itself off until water returns to suitable levels.

This pump comes with the option of attaching an LED ring light with an inbuilt photosensor that will automatically switch on at night to illuminate your fountain.

The latest DC brushless motor technology is introduced in the pump design and manufacturing so that the pump has high efficiency and a long service life.

lead acid battery back up: 12V/5.0Ah

maximum flow rate: 760L/H

cable length: 5m

the first time you operate this pump the system LED indicator may show red and the pump may not work. This is simply due to the battery losing its energy in stock, it just needs to be charged for about 12 hours in bright sunshine and the LED will show green, at this point your pump will be able to turn on.

You can use the inbuilt potentiometer (a small dial on the operating side of the battery) to adjust the operating voltage of the pump to control its operating time/power. Adjusting the dial to a low 12V setting will decrease your flow rate and head height while increasing the operating time of your pump before it needs to turn off and recharge. Adjusting the dial to a high 24V setting will increase your flow rate and head height while decreasing this operating time, so the pump will need to turn off and recharge sooner.

The timer switch allows you to change the pump from ‘intermittent mode’ to ‘continuous mode’. In intermittent mode the pump will run on a timer to switch on for 10 minutes every hour in order to save energy. We recommend using this mode in winter or on cloudy days in order to save battery power. Continuous mode will disable this timer, allowing the pump to run continuously until the battery is drained. (continuous mode can only work if the battery LED is shining green).

Inbuilt flow valve on the front of the pump allows you to control your flow rate manually by turning it up/down to increase or decrease the amount of water being expelled.

The on/off switch will turn off your pump, but still allow the battery itself to charge.  This will allow you to fully charge the pump before simply flipping a switch to turn it back on for an evening or festive occasion.
