Cloudy or green water usually means mechanical debris and free floating algae aren’t being cleared fast enough, even when a pump is doing its job properly.

The PondMax PF2500UV combines three stages of filtration, mechanical, biological and UV clarification, in one pressurised canister with a built in UV-C steriliser to help break down algae and clear green water. Two sets of biological sponge give beneficial bacteria somewhere to establish, and a low maintenance backwash rinsing system means cleaning takes seconds rather than a full strip down. It can be plumbed in-line for waterfalls and water features, or buried up to the lid for a neater install. Suits smaller ponds and water features up to 2500L without fish, or 1000L with fish in full sun. None of our current PondMax EV submersible pumps are rated low enough in flow to pair with this filter, so if you’re after a pump for this size setup, get in touch and we can recommend one.
