Aqua One Filter Wool – Coarse Mechanical Filter Media

Aqua One Filter Wool is a coarse mechanical media that traps the fine particulates sponge and pre-filter media miss, polishing water clearer while still allowing good flow through the filter. Its loose, layered structure also gives beneficial bacteria plenty of surface area to colonise, so it contributes some biological filtration alongside its mechanical role. Sold as a bag that you cut to size, it suits canister filters, box filters, sumps and most other filter systems where mechanical media is needed. For chemical filtration in the same setup, our Aqua One PremiumCarb activated carbon removes dissolved organics, tannins and odours that mechanical media like this can’t catch. Suitable for coldwater, tropical and marine setups.
