API Pond AlgaeFix is a fast-acting algae control solution built for ponds, koi ponds, water gardens, and ornamental fountains. It tackles the three most common pond algae problems, green water blooms, string and hair algae, and blanketweed, without harming fish or aquatic plants when used as directed. A weekly maintenance dose keeps algae growth in check and reduces the time you spend on pond upkeep.

Directions for Use:

• Before Treating: Make sure your pond has vigorous aeration running — a pump, waterfall, or fountain. Do not shut aeration off at night during treatment.
• Dosing: Add 1 teaspoon (5 ml) per 190 L or 60 ml per 2,275 L of pond water.
• Application: Mix near the pump outflow, waterfall, or aeration device. Alternatively, mix in a bucket of pond water and disperse evenly around the pond.
• Repeat Dosing: Repeat every three days until algae is controlled. Be prepared to siphon out any dead filamentous algae.
• Ongoing Maintenance: Once algae is under control, add one dose per week to prevent regrowth and reduce maintenance.

Important Notes:

• For use in synthetic-lined ponds and fountains only — where all water is fully contained with no outflow.
• Do not use with freshwater crustaceans such as shrimp or yabbies.
• Warm weather caution: In hot weather, pond water holds less oxygen. Vigorous 24-hour aeration is required during warm weather treatment. Do not switch off pumps overnight.
• Do not overdose. Measure pond volume accurately before treating.
• Safe for fish and plants when used as directed.
