A genuine Philips UV globe for pond and aquarium UV clarifiers and sterilisers. Philips globes hold their UV-C output for longer than generic alternatives, making them a good choice if you’d rather replace your globe less often, even at a higher upfront cost.

Fits 18W UV filters and clarifiers, including the OASE Vitronic 18, OASE Filtoclear 5000, and Filtoclear 12000. If you’re after a more budget-friendly option, we also stock the 18W Generic UV Globe. Replacing your globe is also a good time to check your OASE Quartz Sleeve (13332), which can crack or cloud over time and reduce UV output even with a fresh globe fitted.

Although it may still appear to be producing light after this time, the UV-C wavelength output drops off significantly, meaning your filter loses its ability to clear green water and kill free-floating algae and parasites even though the globe still looks like it’s working.
