Bio-Sponge Air Diffusion Filter

This aquarium filter uses a newly developed air diffusion chamber and elbow water outlet, producing smaller, finer bubbles and smoother airflow. 

How It Works

Powered by an air pump, the bio-sponge filter draws water through a biological sponge using the suction created by the air compression system. This sucks up micro-particles and returns filtered water back into the tank. Harmful waste is biologically decomposed by beneficial bacteria growing within the bio-sponge, making it an excellent choice for the breeding and cultivation of ornamental fish, especially Discus, small fish, fry and shrimp.

How to Use

1. Before first use, soak the bio-sponge in aquarium water for 5 minutes.
2. During maintenance, always rinse the bio-sponge with drained aquarium water only; never use tap water or hot water, as this will kill your beneficial bacteria colony.
3. When rinsing the bio-sponge, squeeze out the sponge to remove trapped air bubbles. This keeps the filter fully submerged and functioning correctly.
4. Replace the bio-sponge every 6 months to maintain filtration effectiveness and support healthy nitrifying bacteria growth.
