Aquasonic Ichonex – Whitespot & Velvet Treatment

Copper-based treatment for Whitespot (Ich) and Velvet disease in freshwater aquariums

Aquasonic Ichonex is a proven freshwater fish medication formulated to treat whitespot (Ich) and velvet disease. Using a controlled copper-based formula, it works quickly to interrupt the parasite life cycle while keeping aquarium water clear and unstained.

This treatment is best used as soon as symptoms appear and is particularly effective in aquariums with stable water parameters. Ichonex is designed for fish-only freshwater systems and should not be used with sensitive species.

Key Features

  • Effective Parasite Control: Targets whitespot and velvet disease at multiple life stages.
  • Fast Acting: Begins working immediately to reduce visible symptoms.
  • Clear Water Formula: Does not stain aquarium water or silicone.
  • Trusted Australian Brand: Manufactured by Aquasonic, aquarium specialists since 1960.

When to Use

  • White spots on fins or body
  • Flashing or rubbing against surfaces
  • Fine gold or dusty appearance (velvet)
  • Loss of appetite or lethargy linked to parasite infection

How to Use

Day 1: Add 5 mL per 40 litres of aquarium water.

Days 2 & 3: Add 2.5 mL per 40 litres (half dose).

For best results, split each daily dose into two applications (morning and evening). Slightly increasing water temperature can help speed up the parasite life cycle during treatment.

Important: Remove activated carbon from filters during treatment.

Important Notes

  • Contains copper – not safe for shrimp, catfish, loaches, or other sensitive species
  • Freshwater use only
  • Best results achieved at pH 7.5 or higher
