Code Description
27I Impeller Set: Maxi 103F
27S Replacement Sponge: Maxi 103F

Recommended Additions

  • Aqua One Filter Wool — add a layer of filter wool as a final polishing stage to achieve crystal clear water
  • Aqua One CarboPad — place a cut-to-size carbon pad in the filter casing to absorb tannins, residual medications and dissolved organics
  • Aqua One Filter Media Bags — use a media bag to contain additional biological media such as ceramic noodles alongside the sponge
  • Tank Heater — turn your freshwater pond into a tropical tank

Maintenance tip: Clean the sponge monthly by rinsing it gently in a bucket of water taken from your aquarium. Never use tap water, as the chlorine will kill the beneficial bacteria colony living in the foam. Replace the sponge once it begins to lose its shape and structural integrity.

⚠️ Heads-up: Never run this filter out of water. The motor relies on water for cooling and will overheat and be damaged if operated dry, even briefly.
