API Activated Filter Carbon – Chemical Filter Media for Fresh & Saltwater Aquariums

API Activated Filter Carbon is a highly activated carbon blend designed to remove dissolved waste, toxins, discolouration, odours and residual medications from both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. It works by adsorbing impurities that pass through the carbon as water circulates, leaving the water clearer and healthier for your fish.

It can be used in any filter cartridge and is suitable for both new tank setups and established aquariums. Available in 624g.

What It Removes

• Poisonous waste and dissolved toxins

When to Use

• When setting up a new aquarium to establish clean, clear water from the start.
• In established aquariums to maintain water clarity and remove built-up waste.
• After completing a medication treatment, to remove remaining traces of the treatment from the water.

Dosage

Use approximately half a cup (around 118ml) per 38 litres of aquarium water. Place the carbon in a filter bag or directly into your filter cartridge and allow water to flow through it.

Note: activated carbon will also remove medications and water treatments, so it should be removed from the filter before starting any treatment course and not replaced until the treatment is complete.
