Flourish

Flourish is a comprehensive growth supplement for aquatic plants, providing a broad spectrum of essential trace elements, vitamins, and amino acids that support healthy stem and leaf development. It is rich in gluconate iron, manganese, calcium, magnesium, potassium, inositol, choline B12, biotin, and other compounds demonstrated to benefit aquatic plant growth. Flourish is the foundation of any planted aquarium supplementation routine.

Flourish Iron

Flourish Iron is a dedicated iron supplement designed to complement Flourish in planted aquariums with high iron demand. It contains 10,000 mg/L of complexed ferrous iron (Fe+2), the form of iron that aquatic plants prefer and can utilise most readily. While plants can absorb both ferric (Fe+3) and ferrous (Fe+2) iron, providing the preferred ferrous form ensures more efficient uptake and supports vibrant, healthy growth.

Flourish Excel

Flourish Excel provides a readily available source of organic carbon for aquatic plants. All plants require carbon to grow, and while CO2 injection is the most common method of delivery in planted aquariums, Flourish Excel supplies carbon in a simple organic form that plants can absorb directly. It can be used as a standalone carbon source in tanks without CO2 injection, or alongside CO2 to further enhance growth and plant health.

Directions for Use

Use all three products as part of your regular maintenance routine for best results. Flourish and Flourish Excel are typically dosed several times per week, while Flourish Iron is used as needed to address iron deficiency, which often presents as yellowing leaves. For planted tanks without CO2 injection, Flourish Excel is particularly valuable as it provides the carbon source your plants would otherwise be missing. As your planted aquarium matures, you may find you need to supplement with additional Seachem Flourish range products to meet the growing demands of an established plant community.
