If you are moving house and want to take your beloved fish with you, The Fish Works offers a fish relocation service.

 We can move any type of fish: koi, goldfish, natives etc anywhere within Sydney.

We safely transport them using oxygenated bags and take great care with your pets to ensure that they get to their destination happy and healthy.

We plan the operation to ensure that the pond or tank that is receiving them is ready and the water is balanced and biologically active by ensuring proper set up and the addition of a dechlorinator and beneficial bacteria.

Of course we acclimatise the fish properly and take great care in handling, because we love fish and always treat them as if they were our own! Our staff are trained professionals who do this every day, we pride our team on their expert knowledge of fish health and behaviour so you can relax knowing your fish are in good hands.

fish should always be properly acclimated when moved into a new home to lessen the chances of shock. We do this by testing the water, adding dechlorinator and bacteria where neccessary and slowly mixing the old water with the new water before we release your fish.
We transport fish in bags pumped with pure oxygen. The first cause of stress when moving fish is lack of oxygen, this is what will ultimately kill a fish during transport. Large, oxygenated bags and a dedicated transport team helps prevent any undue harm to your fishy friends.
